Paths Building Services LLC is hiring an Assistant Property Manager for our affordable housing portfolio in Chattanooga, TN. The role involves tenant interactions, rent collections, lease administration, and coordinating maintenance to ensure property standards.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in property management (Section 8 preferred), supervisory experience a plus, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Yardi. This position is non-exempt and eligible for benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma OR GED; Some college, preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the field of Property Management, including experience with Section 8.
• Previous supervisory experience, a plus.
• Familiarity with affordable housing.
• Experience managing maintenance staff, a plus.
• Understanding of annual certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Yardi software experience a plus.
• Experience working with unions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily arrears collections, including resident visit follow-ups as needed.
• Oversee the resident move-in and move-out process.
• Inspect all units prior to move-ins and after move-outs.
• Work with maintenance staff on work order administration.
• Assist with annual unit inspections to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Ensure on-time collection and completion of all annual resident certifications.
• Process new move-in packages.
• Prepare Section 8 packages for supervisor review.
