Job summary

Fairfield Residential is seeking an Assistant Community Manager – Affordable to support property operations and ensure LIHTC and HUD compliance. You will mentor leasing teams and drive resident satisfaction at Woodlands (110 units).

The role emphasizes accounting, reporting, and familiarity with Yardi to manage finances, while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining housing authority relationships across the community in Kirkland, WA.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of residential leasing, sales, and/or property management experience.
• Minimum of one year of LIHTC experience.
• Experience in leadership and supervising a staff preferred.
• Experience using Yardi or other related property management accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong math and accounting skills with understanding of financial statements.
• Understanding of federal, state, and local fair housing laws and provisions.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) designation preferred.
• Knowledge of LIHTC, IRS 8823 guide and HUD 4350.3 manual.
• COS or CPO designation preferred if HUD property.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, and some holidays.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Accounting & Reporting: Collect and post rent, process invoices, and prepare monthly financial reports.
• Complete bank deposits and account reconciliations.
• Use Yardi software to manage property financials.
• Affordable Housing Compliance: Verify income and monitor rent limits for LIHTC/HUD programs.
• Prepare for inspections and maintain housing authority relationships.
• Customer Service & Leasing: Lease apartments and respond to resident inquiries promptly.
• Promote resident satisfaction and retention.
• Team Collaboration: Mentor leasing team members and support the Community Manager in daily operations.
