Job summary

CONAM Management is seeking a Community Manager for Villa Del Sol in San Jose, CA to oversee lease-up, operations, and management of an affordable apartment community. You will supervise on-site staff, drive leasing, manage budgets, and ensure resident satisfaction.

The role requires 2-3 years of affordable property management experience, LIHTC/Section 8 knowledge, strong leadership, and proficiency with Yardi or MRI.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in property management, specifically supervising affordable apartment communities.
• Experience with LIHTC and Section 8 required.
• Hands-on experience in daily operations of a multi-family community with strong leadership.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and rent collections for apartments.
• Proficient with property management software such as Yardi and/or MRI.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with residents, staff, and vendors.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in operations.
• Passion for delivering top-tier customer service and building a positive community.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of an affordable multi-family community, ensuring safety, maintenance, and a welcoming environment.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise on-site staff, guiding customer service, leasing, and resident relations.
• Manage leasing process: marketing units, tours, applications, and leases.
• Ensure financial performance by creating and maintaining budgets, and preparing monthly reports.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure maintenance and regulatory compliance.
• Administer resident programs and services to foster community satisfaction.
• Oversee renovations and upgrades, ensuring on-time completion within budget.
• Ensure compliance with housing regulations.
• Handle resident concerns professionally and resolve issues promptly.
• Prepare annual operating budgets and conduct quarterly reviews.
• Maintain records of resident transactions including move-ins/outs, rent collections, and renewals.
• Collaborate with corporate leadership to meet community goals.
• Drive for business needs such as deposits, supplies, and market analysis.
