Job summary

QinetiQ US is seeking an experienced Operator 2/Flight Director to support aerostat systems providing persistent surveillance for the U.S. Government across the El Paso area, Texas.

You will manage aerostat flight operations, coordinate pre-launch/pre-flight checks, and work with maintenance and program offices for site activities. The role requires direct aerostat experience, a current Aerostat Flight Director Certification, and willingness to work 24/7 shifts in a mission-focused environment

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma required.
• 5 years direct experience with aerostat systems; degree substitution allowed.
• Aerostat Flight Director Certification required and must remain current.
• Valid US driver’s license and ability to work 24/7 shifts.
• Must be able to understand English fluently and resid in the US.

Responsibilities

• Serve as operational crew in a 24/7 aerostat operation.
• Perform aerostat subsystem preflight and post-flight checks.
• Maintain weather status and mission support planning.
