Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Troy, Ohio is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the Commercial Wheel & Brake portfolio projects from design through in-service sustainment. You will coordinate engineering tasks, manage budgets, and drive risk mitigation to ensure on-time delivery of high‑quality, cost‑effective products.

A STEM degree with relevant experience is required; 2+ years PM experience is preferred, and the role is onsite at the Troy facility with RTX benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and typically a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• PM experience is preferred, with 2+ years in project management.

Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, execution and tracking/reporting of engineering activities including project budgets related to commercial W&B products in a timely manner to meet internal and external customer timelines.
• Support the Commercial project engineering team in the product development process.
• Coordinate and drive assigned engineering tasks and actions to closure in a timely fashion while providing updates to the wider organization.
• Identify technical risks, develop mitigation strategies, and drive the mitigations to closure with assistance the supporting technical team.
• Lead product cost optimization activities across the W&B portfolio with the objective of long term competitive products.
