Parker Aerospace in Akron, OH is seeking a Mechanical Engineer 3 to lead wheel and brake NPD across requirements, design, testing and entry into service. You will collaborate with customers to define design requirements while meeting cost and schedule commitments.

The role includes guiding design teams, ensuring manufacturability, performing DFMEA, coordinating with stress, thermal, and reliability engineers, and mentoring junior engineers. Travel may be required.

Formación

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
• Experience with DFM, GD&T and manufacturing processes.
• Aerospace experience and wheel/brake knowledge preferred.
• DFMEA and risk analysis exposure.
• Strong project management and cost/schedule tracking.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Lead designer/engineer on LRU design development across phases.
• Ensure technical performance, cost (NRC, RC) and schedule targets.
• Maintain drawing release schedules and coordinate with other functions.
• Ensure designs are manufacturable and meet DTC targets.
• Develop qualification test documents with Test Engineers.
• Coordinate with stress, thermal, vibration and reliability engineers.
• Provide guidance to and mentor junior team members.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in Wheel & Brake.
