Job summary

RTX is seeking a Project Engineer in Troy, OH to lead planning, execution and tracking of engineering activities for commercial wheel & brake products, delivering on time and within budgets.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, identify risks, and drive mitigation while pursuing cost-optimization and long-term competitive products. This is an onsite role in a leading aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and typically a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, execution and tracking/reporting of engineering activities including project budgets related to commercial wheel & brake products in a timely manner to meet internal and external customer timelines.
• Support the Commercial project engineering team in the product development process
• Coordinate and drive assigned engineering tasks and actions to closure in a timely fashion while providing updates to the wider organization.
• Identify technical risks, develop mitigation strategies, and drive the mitigations to closure with assistance the supporting technical team.
• Lead product cost optimization activities across the W&B portfolio with the objective of long term competitive products
