Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in McGregor, TX, seeks an experienced Welder to assemble structural and fluid systems for testing campaigns at our central Texas site. Welders will join an elite fabrication team to rapidly construct large assemblies supporting vehicle and component testing.

The role requires competency in multiple welding processes (FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, GMAW), ability to read drawings, perform fabrication math, and coordinate with engineers and planners to maximize efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• 2+ years experience in two of the listed welding processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform at least two welding processes as needed (FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, GMAW).
• Fit up and weld structures or pipe spools from various materials.
• Communicate with management, engineering staff, and planners to improve build efficiency.
• Perform fabrication math from drawings and take-offs for pipe fittings.
• Analyze drawings to plan welding operations when procedures are unavailable.
• Maintain safety and dispose of hazardous materials properly.
• Set up safety equipment and work platforms at height.
