Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Welder for 2nd shift in McGregor, TX to build structural and fluid systems for testing campaigns. You will join an elite team fabricating large assemblies that support vehicle and component testing at our test site.

Required are 2+ years of welding experience across two processes (FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, GMAW) and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Safety, quality, and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• 2+ years experience in at least two welding processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform at least two welding processes (FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, or GMAW) depending on business needs.
• Fit up and weld structures or pipe spools from various materials.
• Communicate with management, engineering staff, and planners to improve build efficiency.
• Perform fabrication math from drawings and take-offs for pipe fittings.
• Analyze drawings and specifications to plan welding operations where procedures are unavailable.
• Strive to improve operations, reduce turnaround times, and work cooperatively.
