Job summary

SpaceX is seeking Welders in McGregor, TX to build structural and/or fluid systems for testing campaigns. You will work with a skilled team to assemble large structures, perform multiple welding processes, and ensure quality from drawings and specifications.

The role requires a high school diploma and 2+ years in welding, with preference for experience across FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, or GMAW, plus familiarity with cranes and forklifts. Shift flexibility and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalency
• 2+ years of experience in two welding processes (FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, or GMAW)

Responsibilities

• Perform at least two welding processes as required (FCAW, SMAW, GTAW or GMAW)
• Fit up and weld structures or pipe spools of various materials
• Communicate with management and engineering staff to improve build efficiency
• Perform fabrication math from drawings and take-offs
• Analyze drawings to plan welding operations
• Suggest process improvements to reduce turnaround times
• Check drawings after each operation for accuracy
• Handle hazardous materials properly
• Set up safety equipment and work platforms at height
• Assist with other duties to support efficient operations
