Job summary

SpaceX in McGregor, TX is seeking a Welder to build structural and fluid systems for testing campaigns at our Central Texas site. You will join an elite fabrication team to assemble large components for vehicle and component testing.

Responsibilities include performing FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, or GMAW as needed, reading engineering drawings, ensuring quality, and maintaining safety. Candidates should have at least 2 years' welding experience and be able to work shifts and in demanding environments.

Qualifications

• Two of the listed welding processes required; 2+ years of experience in two processes.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and applying fabrication math.

Responsibilities

• Perform FCAW/SMAW/GTAW/GMAW as needed per business requirements.
• Fit up and weld structures or pipe spools from various materials.
• Communicate with management, engineering staff, and planners to improve efficiency.
• Analyze drawings and plan welding operations where procedures are unavailable.
• Maintain safety, manage hazardous materials, and work at heights up to 100 feet.
