Job summary

StandardAero in Stockton, CA is seeking a Welder I to fabricate, repair, and assemble aircraft engine parts using GTAW (TIG) welding, torch brazing, and other welding processes.

You will read blueprints, work from engineering specifications, and ensure aerospace safety and quality standards are met. This role offers opportunities for growth within a globally recognized aerospace MRO leader.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of welding experience.
  • Completion of a welding apprenticeship program or equivalent hands-on training.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance for approximately 25% of the workday.

Responsibilities

  • Produce a variety of parts from shop drawings to conform to specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.
  • Operate brazing and soldering equipment.
  • Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears, and other metal straightening and bending machines.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of processes.
  • Cross train in other complementary skills to support production requirements.
  • Observe all applicable safety requirements.
