Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aerospace Structural Welder for its San Diego, CA location. The role involves welding on carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and galvanized materials, plus repair, fabrication, and tooling tasks for Ground Support Equipment.

The candidate should have extensive experience with GTAW, GMAW and SMAW processes, be able to read blueprints, and work under safety and quality guidelines. The position may require travel and security clearance.

Qualifications

• Must have 4 years' recent welding experience in GTAW, GMAW, SMAW.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Experience with repair, fabrication and field level maintenance on ground support equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety, quality and environmental procedures; participate in continuous improvement.
• Perform welding and related tasks on carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and galvanized materials.
• Dismantle, repair, and assemble parts; assist design of fixtures or tools as needed.
