Job summary

Component Repair Technologies seeks a Weld Repair Engineer to develop streamlined repair plans for aerospace components, focusing on minimizing heat input and distortion while improving throughput.

The role provides hands-on support to production teams, ensuring adherence to OEM requirements, engineering specs, and environmental standards. CRT emphasizes agile response to customer needs and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Four year bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field from an accredited college or university.
• Ability to understand and interpret OEM repair manuals, FAA regulations, and blueprints.
• Mechanically inclined with ability to evaluate from technical and mechanical perspectives.
• Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and work scope instructions.

Responsibilities

• Develop plans for streamlined weld repairs to minimize heat input, cracking, and distortion.
• Drive reduced rework, better turnaround time, and higher throughput in Weld & Heat Treat departments.
• Provide hands-on technical support to production teams for weld repair plans while following specs and OEM requirements.
• Ensure operations comply with engineering specifications, quality standards, and environmental regulations.
