Job summary

Component Repair Technologies, Inc. (CRT) is seeking a Welder to perform TIG welding and brazing for turbine engine components used in aerospace.

You’ll work with stainless steels, titanium, aluminum, and nickel alloys, under supervision, progressing to independent tasks as proficiency grows. The role includes training in AWS D17.1 aerospace endorsement, shop safety, print reading, and skills development in a climate-controlled welding department in Mentor, OH.

Qualifications

• Must have tech high school or weld curriculum.
• Completed TIG welding courses from a technical or welding school and/or minimum two years TIG experience.
• AWS welding certification with D17.1 preference.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions and interpret drawings.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety protocols and company policies.
• Read and interpret documents, instructions, and drawings.
• Complete AWS D17.1 aerospace endorsement certification and OJT requirements.
• Perform TIG welding, weld prep, and finishing under supervision, advancing to independent work.
• Inspect work to meet weld quality requirements.
• Work in TIG, brazing, automated TIG welding, and related tasks as directed.
