Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Three years’ related experience or a Technical school certificate.
• Ability to hold close tolerances to aerospace standards.
• Math: fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
• Troubleshoot and problem solve programs and processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan machining by studying orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specs, and tolerances.
• Program lathes and mills by entering instructions, offsets, and tooling data.
• Set up lathes and mills with tools, attachments, and stock.
• Load stock and verify settings; measure first parts and samples.
• Maintain quality; inspect and document processes; follow AS9100.
• Document actions and maintain production and quality logs.
• Maintain safety and preventive maintenance; communicate across shifts.
