Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Technical school certificate: or three years’ related experience and/or training
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve programs and processes
• Regularly required to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds; safety and quality procedures strictly followed.

Responsibilities

• Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, and geometric tolerances.
• Plan stock inventory and place orders; verify receipt of stock.
• Program lathes/mills by entering instructions, offsets, and tool data.
• Set up lathes/mills by installing tools and aligning equipment.
• Load stock, verify settings, and measure first-run parts.
• Maintain specifications through drilling, turning, and finishing operations.
• Adhere to quality assurance procedures and safety regulations.
• Document actions in production and quality logs.
