Job summary

The position focuses on posting CNC programs for 5-axis machines, developing setup sheets and tool lists, and contributing to process improvements while traveling to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in technical field plus 8 years of related experience or 10 years machining/programming experience.
• Minimum five years of experience using MasterCam CAM software for CNC programming or similar software.
• Minimum 1 year programming turning and mill-turn operations, including 7-axis machines.
• Thorough understanding of g-code for machining operations.
• Thorough understanding of GD&T and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
• Experience with aerospace materials and various manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in MS Office; strong verbal and written communication; able to collaborate across teams.
• U.S. Citizen; valid driver's license; willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Complete, define, and post CNC programs for multi-axis machines including 5-axis centers and lathes.
• Develop and manage setup sheets, machining work instructions, and tool lists.
• Communicate process improvements for post-processing activities.
• Maintain tooling logs and order tooling/materials as required.
• Collaborate with machinists and technicians to solve complex manufacturing problems.
• Provide feedback on next-generation manufacturing technology and CNC programming.
• Adhere to existing CNC programming processes with engineering support.
• Travel between customer sites, offices, or job locations as needed.
