Apex Tool Group is seeking an Assembler to join the Universal Joints team. The role involves setting up and operating equipment in the UJ Mill area and completing all required quality and production documentation.

You will use inspection gauges to ensure quality, maintain a clean work area and follow plant safety rules, including wearing safety glasses. The position emphasizes practical problem-solving and physical endurance in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Technical school certification, or 1 year equivalent experience.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
• Standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally; overhead reaching.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts; moderate noise level.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate equipment in the UJ Mill area (e.g., Bridgeport, finish mill, hone, tube drill).
• Complete required quality and production documentation.
• Use inspection methods and gauges to ensure quality.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.
• Follow plant rules and wear safety glasses.
