Job summary

PPG's Aerospace Business seeks a Senior Production Supervisor for our Grand Prairie, TX facility. You will coordinate production processes, lead troubleshooting, scheduling, and supply chain activities across cell areas, reporting to the F-35 Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing supervision experience; aerospace/defense experience preferred.
• Knowledge of MRP systems.
• Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
• Knowledge of aerospace quality systems (AS9100) and related aerospace standards is a bonus.
• Understanding of airworthiness requirements and military aerospace standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate production objectives to meet schedules and quality standards.
• Supervise shift production teams and enforce safety, health, and environmental policies.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost efficiency initiatives.
• Review work instructions to ensure accuracy and drive improvements.
• Provide production reports and support process optimization.
• Schedule staffing and production sequences to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with Procurement to ensure timely material availability.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with engineering to minimize production interruptions.
• Meet tight production schedules for high-rate production.
