Job summary

PPG Industries, Inc. in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a Program Manager for Aerospace Transparencies to lead the full lifecycle from concept through production and sunset. You will drive cross‑functional IPTs, manage schedules, budgets, and quality objectives while coordinating with suppliers and customers.

The role requires aerospace program management experience, strong collaboration skills, and adherence to FAA/EASA/MIL-STD standards. On-site work with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of five (5) years of program management or engineering experience in aerospace or defense industries.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification strongly preferred.
• Travel 10% - may include international travel.
• U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, and political asylees or refugees are eligible to apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end program management across the PLM lifecycle (Gates 2-7), driving NPI, production, sustainment, and sunset activities.
• Develop and execute integrated program plans including schedules, budgets, resources, and gate reviews.
• Build and coordinate cross-functional IPTs across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, R&D, and Operations.
• Serve as the primary customer interface for all programmatic activities and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Oversee NPI and sustaining production activities, including design maturation, tooling development, and BOM/BOO documentation.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks while driving continuous improvement and compliance with standards.
