Ontic in Chatsworth, California, is seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to support compliant international trade across our operations. You will report to the International Trade Compliance Lead and collaborate with teams at Ontic sites to manage import/export activities onsite.

The role requires deep knowledge of ITAR/EAR, SNAP-R/DECCS licensing, AES filings, and thorough documentation practices. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, with industry credentials advantageous.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Trade Compliance experience
• ITAR and EAR knowledge
• AES/EEI filings experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred or 5+ years experience in lieu of degree
• Customs Broker credentials advantageous

Responsabilités

• Support import and export activities in accordance with regulations and Ontic policies.
• Prepare and support government licensing applications through SNAP-R and DECCS; maintain records.
• Review export/import documentation for accuracy and compliance (EEI, AES).
• Conduct denied party screenings, third-party vetting, and travel reviews.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders to obtain and verify required documents.
• Analyze and document classification rationale for Schedule B, HTS, ECCN, USML.
• Maintain import/export records per Customs regulations.
