Job summary

AAA USA Inc in North Carolina is seeking a Tooling Technician to install, repair, maintain, align, and modify precision tooling, jigs, molds, fixtures, and industrial equipment. The role requires hands-on mechanical troubleshooting and safe handling of heavy tooling.

This position may involve travel to customer sites and temporary relocation to Kinston, NC, with relocation assistance available. You will collaborate with vendors, engineering, and management to solve equipment problems and

Qualifications

• 3+ years of aerospace tooling or precision machining experience.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to safely move and position heavy tooling and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Dismantles, moves, assembles, installs, and repairs industrial machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, drawings, or verbal instructions.
• Dismantles equipment and machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools.
• Moves machinery and equipment using hoist, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
• Assembles and installs equipment such as conveyors and tram rails using hand and power tools.
• Constructs foundations; aligns machines; performs scheduled inspection and maintenance.
• Sets up and operates machine tools and fabrication machinery to rework or make new parts.
• Perform root/cause analysis in support reliability processes, and collaborate with vendors, engineering, team leader, customer, other crafts and management to solve equipment problems and develop corrective action.
• Rework and maintain tools of all types and materials.
• Perform routine minor machine maintenance as part of their daily work duties.
