Job summary

Beehive Industries in Centennial, Colorado, is seeking an Engineer, Tooling Design Contractor to lead the design and development of tooling, fixtures, and mechanical support equipment used throughout turbine engine assembly.

You will own designs from concept to release, work with manufacturing to improve process capability and ergonomics, and provide on-site support to fabrication, inspection, and production implementation while upholding GD&T and ASME Y14 standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in mechanical engineering, tooling or fixture design in aerospace/defense.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling and release documentation.
• Experience performing dimensional and tolerance stack-up analyses.
• Ability to obtain US security clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design assembly tooling and fixtures for development and production engine build processes.
• Own tooling designs from initial concept through release, fabrication, and implementation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to troubleshoot build issues and improve process capability.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, tolerance analyses, and documentation.
• Lead design reviews and ensure manufacturability and quality.
