Job summary

EnerSys Advanced Systems seeks a skilled Tool & Die Maker to fabricate, modify, and repair precision tooling for production equipment. You’ll work with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Maintenance to ensure tooling is safe, accurate, and reliable for high-tolerance needs.

Minimum four years in a machine-shop with CAD/CAM experience; aerospace/defense exposure is a plus. You’ll operate multiple manual and CNC machines in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Four or more years in a machine-shop environment.
• Formal apprenticeship preferred.
• Journeyman level experience preferred.
• Prior aerospace/defense/medical device manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with SolidWorks or other solid modeling software.
• Experience with Mastercam or CAM software.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate components and fixtures from engineering drawings, CAD models, and specs within required tolerances.
• Maintain tooling records and perform setup, inspection, and repairs as needed.
• Diagnose tooling failures and dimensional issues.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop and improve tooling.
• Operate a Bridgeport knee mill, a Hardinge lathe, a surface grinder, and a CNC vertical mill.
• Keep the machine shop safe, clean, and organized.
