Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Tool and Die Maker to join a high-volume stamping facility producing fasteners for the steel industry. You will plan, lay out, and construct complex dies, while reading blueprints and performing precision machining to tight tolerances.

The role involves repairing and maintaining dies, designing tooling, and supporting production with high-quality tooling solutions. Candidates should have a Journeyman card and 3+ years of tool and die experience, with CNC exposure and strong

Qualifications

• Journeyman card or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of tool and die experience in manufacturing or stamping.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and sketches.
• Proficient with mills, lathes, grinders and other tool room equipment.
• Experience with precision measurement tools and close tolerances.
• Familiarity with CNC equipment and programming basics.
• Commitment to quality and safety standards.
• Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lay out, construct, maintain, alter, and repair dies and tooling.
• Design dies and create detailed drawings to support fabrication.
• Work from blueprints and instructions to complete tooling projects.
• Perform machining on tool room equipment with close tolerances.
• Install, adjust, and finish dies and tooling components.
• Troubleshoot and repair dies and support production downtime.
• Develop repair plans for dies returned to the tool room.
• Make repair parts or machined items for special orders.
