Job summary

Parker Aerospace is hiring a welder to perform manual and automatic welding at 1G on high temperature and high strength alloys. You will read blueprints and welding symbols, set up and maintain TIG and other welding equipment, and monitor weld quality to ensure code compliance.

The role requires passing AWS D17.1 1G weld tests and the ability to work in a team within a dynamic aerospace environment. Benefits are provided as part of a comprehensive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Must pass AWS D17.1 1G weld test (0.063” SS321 butt joint)
• Must pass visual inspection, FPI, and X-Ray tests
• Experience with semi-automatic/orbital welders preferred
• Ability to read, write and understand instructions, drawings and blueprints
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual/automatic welding, tacking, weld repairing at 1G (flat) on plates or pipes
• Read technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols
• Set up and maintain welding equipment (manual TIG, JetLine, AMI, Robot, EBW, Laser)
• Ensure weld quality and compliance with code requirements
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and wear PPE
• May perform other related responsibilities.
