Job summary

Parker Aerospace’s Exotic Metals Forming Division is hiring an Aerospace Welder (TIG and Auto Welding). Swing Shift and Day shift options. You will join a team focused on precision sheet metal aircraft components, following weld schedules and drawings to ensure quality.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and basic GD&T and blueprint reading. Training through the Exotic Metals TIG weld program or equivalent experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic GD&T knowledge and ability to read drawings.
• Strong manual dexterity and familiarity with precision instruments.
• Experience with TIG welding or completion of Exotic Metals TIG weld training program.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic to advanced welding tasks following standard practices.
• Prepares weld surfaces properly.
• Interprets and follows written instructions, sketches, weld schedules, drawings and documents.
• Works safely per established standards and procedures.
• Performs fitting of assemblies.
• May train others on prior job experience.
• Repairs some of his or her own parts.
• Regularly evaluates own product quality for continuous improvement.
• Works under limited oversight.
• Completes Exotic Metals TIG weld training program or demonstrates equivalent experience.
• Holds Exotic Metals weld qualifications, including Fillet Welding as required.
