RTX's Mechanical Systems, Externals, & Nacelles (MSEN) team seeks a Thermo-Fluids Engineer to design and analyze gas turbine mechanical systems, focusing on bearing compartments, gearboxes, and oil/air service tubes.

You will perform thermo-fluid analyses, develop physics-based methods and tools, use Python and MATLAB, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced degree in a related field.

Responsabilidades

• Perform thermo-fluid design analysis for gas turbine bearing compartments, gearboxes, and oil/air service tubes used in aircraft applications.
• Develop and apply physics-based methods, numerical models, and tools to evaluate designs and improve heat transfer and fluid-flow analysis capabilities, including conduction, convection, and radiation.
• Use programming tools such as Python and MATLAB, along with data analytics and machine learning methods, to support engineering analysis, investigate real-world data, and develop analytical tools.
• Collaborate with design, structures, lubrication systems, and project engineers to develop integrated solutions for gas turbine mechanical systems.
• Communicate technical progress, analysis results, challenges, and proposed solutions effectively to peers and leadership teams.
