Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA, a leading engineering services provider, seeks an MLT Lab Test Engineer to lead and support component, system-level, and powertrain testing within Release and Validation. The role ensures reliability, durability, and performance of vehicle systems through rigorous testing.

You will oversee test setups, support fixture design for diverse test scenarios, collaborate with CAE, Release, and Test Engineering, and develop test plans and bogeys while performing root cause analyses

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent OEM automotive lab experience.
• 3–5 years of automotive testing or engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle operations, especially suspension and powertrain systems.
• Experience with lab instrumentation: load cells, LVDTs, O-scopes, strain gauges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and teamwork.
• Able to work in a collaborative, learning-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support development and execution of component, system-level, and powertrain testing.
• Oversee test setups to meet DVP&R requirements and support fixture design.
• Collaborate with CAE, Release, and Test Engineering teams to execute validation programs.
• Develop test plans and bogeys; perform root cause analyses for test issues.
• Lead SBU personnel and ensure timely validation program delivery.
