Job summary

RTX is seeking an intern converting to full-time hire upon graduation for an aerospace engineering track in East Hartford, CT. The role focuses on engine tests, data analysis, and validation across propulsion systems with opportunities to rotate through disciplines.

The program includes structured rotations, engineering exposure, and professional development within the Engineering Development Program. Relocation eligibility and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree by start date in Aerospace, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or Engineering Science & Technology.
• Experience in a mechanical/aero test environment or engine data analysis.
• Experience may be obtained via on-the-job, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for development engine tests and functional validation across Pratt & Whitney product lines, focusing on engine systems understanding and validation.
• Coordinate test plans, instrumentation, pre-test predictions, procedures, and data management.
• Participate in discipline improvement activities and knowledge management.
• Interact daily with EDSI Groups to ensure propulsion system satisfies requirements; travel and off-shift work may be required.
• Travel to engine test sites and partner sites when needed.
