Job summary

RTX in the United States is seeking a Technical Writer/Editor to develop hardware and software technical documentation for the Patriot Missile System, covering end-user operation, assembly and maintenance. This role supports MIL-STD 40051 XML-compliant manuals delivered in the IADS viewer and requires collaboration with the Technical Manual team.

You will tag XML updates, work with cross-functional teams, and help document systems architecture using Raytheon tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Education or related major obtained by start date.
• Experience/education with technical writing or interpretation of technical documentation.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Update technical manual data in MIL-STD 40051 XML.
• Create Interactive Active Display Software (IADS) deliverables.
• Develop procedures for electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment.
• Collaborate with technical illustrator personnel to support publication efforts.
