Job summary

RTX is seeking a Technical Writer/Editor in the US (Andover, MA) to develop hardware and software documentation for the Patriot Missile System. You will tag MIL-STD 40051 XML updates and interface with the Technical Manual team, using Raytheon tools to document system architecture and manuals.

This onsite role requires a Bachelor's in a related field and experience in technical writing, with XML/HTML skills and proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communication, Education or related major obtained by start date.
• Experience/education with technical writing, interpretation of technical documentation.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Update technical manual data in MIL-STD 40051 XML
• Create Interactive Active Display Software (IADS) deliverables
• Develop procedures for electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment
• Working with technical illustrator personnel in support of publication effort
