Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Technical Writer/Editor to develop hardware and software technical documentation for end-user operation, assembly, and maintenance of the Patriot Missile System. The role focuses on MIL-STD 40051 XML-compliant manuals delivered via the IADS viewer, updating manuals, and collaborating with the manual team.

You'll interpret engineering data, work with technical illustrators, and contribute to a robust library of procedure documentation while using Raytheon systems and tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communication, Education or related major obtained by start date.
• Experience/education with technical writing, interpretation of technical documentation.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Update technical manual data in MIL-STD 40051 XML
• Create Interactive Active Display Software (IADS) deliverables
• Develop procedures for electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment
• Working with technical illustrator personnel in support of publication effort
