Job summary

RTX is seeking a Technical Editor within the Lifecycle Engineering group of Integrated Air and Missile Defense Systems. You will create and edit technical training documents used to teach operators and maintainers, collaborating with subject matter experts and customers to ensure accuracy and clarity.

The role emphasizes deadline-driven editing, adherence to style guides, and the ability to work with common test equipment references as part of documentation development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications or related discipline obtained by start date.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Teams.
• Experience writing or editing technical documentation and/or instructional materials.
• Experience referencing and implementing various writing style guides (e.g., MLA, APA, Chicago).
• Experience using Adobe Acrobat and/or Kofax/Tungsten Power PDF to create shareable files.
• Demonstrated experience working with collaborative teams to achieve shared goals.

Responsibilities

• Edit, proofread, and ensure quality control of technical training documents in a deadline-driven environment.
• Maintain accuracy, consistency, and proper style, formatting, and spelling.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and customers to understand and meet expectations.
• Manage multiple deadlines and priorities within specified time frames.
