Job summary

RTX is seeking a Technical Writer/Editor in Andover, MA to develop hardware and software technical documentation for end-user operation, assembly, and maintenance of the Patriot Missile System. You will produce MIL-STD 40051 XML compliant manuals delivered in the IADS viewer and tag updates in the Patriot library.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communication, Education or related major obtained by start date.
• Experience/education with technical writing, interpretation of technical documentation
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects

Responsibilities

• Update MIL-STD 40051 XML data in technical manuals.
• Create Interactive Active Display Software (IADS) deliverables.
• Develop procedures for electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment.
• Collaborate with technical illustrators for publication support
