Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead engineering teams across mechanical and pyrotechnic components. You will interface with customers and leadership, support business development, and ensure clear engineering documentation.

You will track metrics, manage risks, and drive program milestones with collaboration across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, QA, Contracts, and Finance. The role requires a B.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years engineering experience, including minimum of 2 years in Aerospace and/or Systems Engineering.
• U.S. citizen and able to obtain DoD SECRET clearance.
• Experience managing complex programs in defense, aerospace, or government tech sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, plan and execute projects; lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams in design, development, analysis, and testing of mechanical and pyrotechnic components and systems.
• Interface with customers and internal leadership.
• Support business development, including proposal writing and new business meetings.
• Document engineering activities through clear drawings, reports, and presentations.
• Track program performance using key metrics and identify risks, issues, and mitigations.
• Support technical reviews and program milestone reviews.
• Facilitate planning, decision-making, and change management across teams.
• Manage scope, cost, schedule, and technical performance while balancing priorities.
• Coordinate proposal efforts, capture activities, and transition to execution.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, QA, Contracts, and Finance for delivery.
