Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead embedded product development from concept through production. You will develop and maintain detailed plans, schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation, coordinating across hardware, software, mechanical, layout, and certification teams.

You will drive Agile processes, manage communications with stakeholders, and partner with quality, supply chain, and external vendors to ensure on-time launches and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in computer science or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of project or program management experience.
• Experience taking embedded products from concept through to production.
• Experience coordinating with teams using the agile development methodology.
• Experience developing detailed project plans consisting of detailed schedules, budget, risk/risk mitigation, staffing allocation and planning.
• Familiar with ISO development processes/procedures; gate model development environment a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead embedded product development projects from concept, design, validation, and production release.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Track project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and drive corrective actions to ensure successful project execution.
• Coordinate activities across hardware, software, mechanical, PCB layout, component engineering, production test, and certification teams.
• Facilitate Agile development processes and ensure alignment between engineering teams and business objectives.
• Work closely with Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Production Test, and external suppliers to support successful product launches.
• Manage project communications, status reporting, and stakeholder expectations at all levels of the organization.
• Coordinate and oversee work performed by external vendors, contractors, and offshore development partners as needed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing product development processes and execution efficiency.
• Participate in stage-gate reviews and ensure project readiness for key development milestones.
