Job summary

CFD Research is seeking a full-time Systems Test Engineer in Huntsville, AL to lead verification of a complex aerospace hardware system. You will integrate test planning, procedures, and documentation across systems engineering, mechanical, electrical, controls, and software teams, coordinating with external facilities and government customers as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
• 3+ years in hardware development, system integration, or testing.
• Knowledge of MIL-STD-810 environmental testing and EMI/EMC testing.
• Experience drafting test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Ability translate requirements into verification activities.
• Understanding of test instrumentation and data analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to coordinate with teams.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the integrated system verification test strategy.
• Organize verification requirements into efficient test events.
• Create formal verification test plans and acceptance criteria.
• Develop and integrate formal test procedures with SME input.
• Coordinate internal and offsite verification testing with teams and facilities.
• Ensure test readiness and proper documentation for testing.
