Job summary

CFD Research Corporation in Huntsville, Alabama, is seeking a Maintainability and Testability Engineer to strengthen our aerospace hardware lifecycle support. You will translate failure behaviors into practical requirements for fault detection, fault isolation, built-in testing, and diagnostics to improve maintenance and serviceability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in systems, mechanical, electrical, aerospace, industrial engineering, or related field.
• Three or more years of relevant engineering experience in maintainability, testability, diagnostics, or related areas.
• Understanding of hardware failure modes and fault detection/isolation.
• Ability to read technical drawings, system architectures, and engineering requirements.
• Strong technical writing and analytical skills.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the maintainability and testability framework.
• Perform maintenance task analyses and levels of repair analyses.
• Develop fault detection, fault isolation, and integrated diagnostics analyses.
• Collaborate with controls, software, electrical, mechanical, and other teams to enhance BIT and diagnostics.
• Support reliability-centered maintenance and maintenance procedures.
