Job summary

CFD Research Corporation seeks a talented finite element engineer for its Huntsville HQ. You will develop and validate linear and non-linear FEA models for aerospace structures, mentoring junior staff and interfacing with other engineering domains to ensure robust design conclusions.

Responsibilities include producing technical reports, supporting verification activities, and contributing to design reviews.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship and eligibility for a secret clearance
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with Abaqus, Ansys or Nastran
• Ability to create clear technical documentation and present results
• Strong problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate linear and non-linear FEA models to assess safety margins and deflections
• Mentor with senior SMEs and share best practices
• Produce engineering reports and documentation for verification and design reviews
