Job summary

RTX in Middletown, CT is offering a Summer Internship in the Engineering Development Operations Organization. You will join the instrumentation operation group and contribute to gas turbine jet engine development, performing instrumentation installation, routing, and termination tasks.

The role is open to students pursuing mechanical, aerospace, electrical, or computer engineering and provides exposure to testing, manufacturing, and technical projects within RTX’s aerospace and defense programs.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a degree in mechanical, aerospace, electrical, computer engineering, or a STEM major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Previous engineering intern experience at an aerospace company.
• Experience with testing, manufacturing, and technical group projects.

Responsibilities

• Instrumentation installation, routing, dressing, and termination techniques to integrate instrumentation into engine test environments.
• Support validation programs and perform tasks related to gas turbine jet engine development.
• Work on assignments related to commercial engines or military engines depending on business needs.
