Job summary

RTX’s Middletown, Connecticut facility invites engineering interns to engage in instrumentation and validation work for gas turbine engines. You will gain hands-on experience across installation, routing, dressing, and termination of instrumentation under the supervision of the Development Operations Organization.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a degree in mechanical, aerospace, electrical, computer engineering, or a STEM major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co‑op session.
• Previous engineering intern experience at an aerospace company
• Experience with testing, manufacturing, and technical group projects

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities may include working on tasks related to commercial engines, military engines or both depending on business need.
• The Development Operations Organization is seeking a highly motivated engineering student to join the instrumentation operation group as a summer intern at the Middletown, Connecticut facility.
• This position requires a strong skill set in validation program support and involves complex assignments related to gas turbine jet engine development. The role encompasses instrumentation installation, routing, dressing, and termination techniques, ensuring all instrumentation is integrated accurately and reliably into engine test environments.
