Job summary

RTX invites engineering students to join the Advanced Measurements Research and Development group in Middletown, CT as a summer intern. You will engage in sensor development, hardware/software design, bench testing, and data analysis to verify the structural integrity of gas turbine engines.

This onsite internship provides hands-on experience, mentorship from seasoned engineers, and exposure to aerospace industry challenges.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Computer Engineering or Physics.
• Experience with CAD software such as Unigraphics/NX or equivalent 3D modeling.
• Experience with MATLAB, LabVIEW or Python for programming or data analysis.
• Experience with circuit board design, troubleshooting and soldering components.

Responsibilities

• Work on tasks related to commercial/military engine measurement techniques.
• Contribute to development of new measurement techniques and diagnostics for gas turbine engines.
• Involve sensor development, hardware/software design, bench testing, and instrumentation installations.
