Job summary

RTX in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a student or early-career engineer for an internship/co-op in systems engineering. You will learn requirements capture, decompose requirements, and support test procedures for CH-53K cockpit avionics, collaborating with an Agile development team.

You will gain hands-on experience with DOORS, JAMA, JIRA, and ALM tools while contributing to on-site testing and integration activities across Collins Aerospace domains.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or STEM major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Basic experience with DOORS, JAMA, JIRA, and ALM tool suite.

Responsibilities

• Learn requirements capture and peer review for AMS cockpit avionics for CH-53K program.
• Participate in decomposing and allocating requirements to appropriate domains within Collins Aerospace.
• Support the creation of test procedures to verify requirements.
• Participate in on-site execution of requirements-based testing, robustness and Ad-Hoc testing in a lab environment.
• Collaborate within an Agile-based development team of professional engineers.
