Job summary

RTX is offering internships, co-ops and full-time roles in Cedar Rapids, IA, focusing on platform systems engineering for cockpit avionics and requirements-based testing. Learn requirements capture, decomposition and test procedure development within an Agile team of engineers.

You will gain hands-on exposure to DOORS, JAMA, JIRA, ALM tools and the full lifecycle from requirements to fielded products, while exploring Agile practices in a real aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or STEM major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.

Responsibilities

• Learn requirements capture and peer review for AMS cockpit avionics for CH-53K program.
• Participate in decomposing and allocating requirements to appropriate domains within Collins Aerospace.
• Support the creation of test procedures to verify requirements.
• Participate in on-site execution of requirements-based testing, robustness and Ad-Hoc testing in a lab environment (schedule flexibility is necessary during formal test phases).
• Collaborate within an Agile-based development team of professional engineers
