Job summary

RTX in Cedar Rapids is seeking motivated students for internships, co-ops, and entry-level roles in aerospace and defense. You will work with systems engineers on avionics for MH-47 and MH-60 helicopters, learn how requirements are captured and verified, and help develop requirements and test procedures.

You will test in SILs that mimic aircraft avionics, see how Cedar Rapids decisions support crews, and gain exposure to DOORS, JAMA, JIRA, and ALM within an Agile framework.

Qualifications

• Interest in aviation and systems engineering
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and related tools
• Pursuing a STEM degree with exposure to engineering processes

Responsibilities

• Work with systems engineers on avionics for MH-47/MH-60 helicopters
• Learn how requirements are captured, decomposed, allocated, reviewed and verified
• Help develop engineering requirements and test procedures for new capabilities
• Perform hands-on testing in SILs that replicate aircraft avionics and cockpit environments
• Understand how Cedar Rapids engineering decisions support aircraft and crews
