Job summary

RTX in Cedar Rapids offers an internship/co-op focused on aerospace engineering. You will work with systems engineers to develop and integrate avionics capabilities for MH-47 and MH-60 helicopters, learning how customer and system-level requirements are captured, decomposed, allocated, reviewed, and verified.

Expect hands-on testing in Systems Integration Laboratories and exposure to DOORS, JAMA, JIRA, and ALM within an Agile aerospace program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or STEM and enrolled through internship/co-op.

Responsibilities

• Work with systems engineers on avionics for MH-47 and MH-60 helicopters.
• Learn how requirements are captured, decomposed, allocated, reviewed and verified.
• Assist in developing engineering requirements and test procedures.
• Perform hands-on testing in Systems Integration Laboratories (SILs).
• Observe how Cedar Rapids decisions support aircraft and crews.
