Job summary

RTX in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking students to join our aerospace engineering team as interns, co-ops or early-career professionals. You will learn requirements capture for AMS cockpit avionics and work with a skilled team on CH-53K program.

You will gain hands-on experience with DOORS, JAMA, JIRA and ALM tools, participate in testing and requirements-based activities in an Agile environment, and collaborate with engineers across domains.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the internship/co‑op.
• Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co‑op session.

Responsibilities

• Learn requirements capture and peer review for AMS cockpit avionics for CH-53K program.
• Participate in decomposing and allocating requirements to appropriate domains within Collins Aerospace.
• Support the creation of test procedures to verify requirements.
• Participate in on‑site execution of requirements‑based testing, robustness and Ad‑Hoc testing in a lab environment (schedule flexibility is necessary during formal test phases).
• Collaborate within an Agile‑based development team of professional engineers.
