The Marvin Group is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to perform pre- and post-evaluation of suppliers and to monitor performance against contracts. The role emphasizes rapid defect containment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions within a defense aerospace environment.

Based in Southern California, the SQE will engage cross-functional teams to mitigate risk and ensure supplier quality aligns with AS9100 and other standards. This is a 100% on-site position with travel as needed.

Competenze

• B.S. degree in Engineering, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
• 0-5 years of experience, preferably in aerospace/defense.
• Basic understanding of GD&T and ability to interpret drawings preferred.
• Familiarity with industry specs (AS9100, ANSI, ASME) preferred.
• Knowledge of government and regulatory requirements preferred.

Mansioni

• Generate weekly metrics to understand supplier trends and performance.
• Maintain and analyze supplier score cards and data.
• Issue and review SNs and SCARs as required.
• Maintain SCAR process with root cause and corrective actions.
• Attend Receiving Inspection or shop floor huddles as requested.
• Prepare detailed supplier visitation reports documenting site visits and actions.
• Conduct supplier quality system audits to evaluate core competencies and retention decisions.
• Communicate QN issues to suppliers and help develop corrective actions.
• Deliver score cards, RCCA training, and support SCAR processes at supplier sites.
• Build cross-functional relationships to reduce vendor nonconformances.
